JOB DESCRIPTION

• Working as a team member in a fast-paced food service setting
• Interacting with the public in a positive and friendly manner.
• Greeting guests at the front door and assessing their needs, as well as interacting with incoming phone calls to take call-ahead and reservation requests
• Listening carefully to guests' requests for call-ahead seating and reservations and entering that information into a sophisticated guest-management system
• Assisting waitstaff with the delivery of food and providing table maintenance by clearing dishes and refilling beverages
• Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables for guest to be seated in an efficient manner
• Managing the flow of walk-in customers and setting expectations for wait times
• Seating guests at open tables and setting positive expectations for proper service
• Sharing current specials and accurately describing dishes for guests to consider
• Replenishing supplies, ingredients and utensils
• Assisting servers with all aspects of guest service and table management, and performing side work to replenish supplies, glassware and utensils
• Working hard and having fun

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be enrolled in high school working towards a diploma, or have graduated from high school or have a GED
• Must have no felony convictions
• Must be willing to submit to and able to pass a drug-screening test prior to employment if requested and after hiring if determined to be necessary
• Must have reliable transportation, or a reliable ride to and from work
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Must have the flexibility to work weekend days as well as night shifts throughout the week

• This is an entry-level position to learn to work in the hospitality.
• Our compensation rate as a training dining room employee is $7.25 per hour
• Once you have been certified as able to carry a host / server-assistant shift solo you will earn $9.00 per hour. Friday and Saturday dinner shifts you will also receive tip share which is usually around $15 to $20
