JOB DESCRIPTION

• Working as a team member in a fast-paced food service setting
• Interacting with the public in a positive and friendly manner
• Taking responsibility to have full knowledge of all menu items including food, wine, cocktails, liquor brands, bottled beers and craft beers on tap
• Setting up workstations with ingredients, food items and serving utensils
• Suggestive selling and menu guidance to help guests select food items
• Listening carefully to guests' requests and entering that information accurately into a sophisticated point-of-sale computer system
• Timing courses and orders to ensure a proper flow of items being prepared in the kitchen
• Participation in team service across the dining room to ensure guests are served in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work station and environment, maintaining food safety standards, rotating food product, documenting and dating all products and being constantly aware that the public's good health has been entrusted to you
• Replenishing supplies, ingredients and utensils
• Deep cleaning equipment, utensils, countertops, cabinets, storage spaces, tables, chairs, floors and bathrooms to maintain our reputation as the cleanest restaurant in the county and to ensure the general safety and well-being of co-workers and guests
• Working hard and having fun

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have graduated from high school or have a GED
• Must have no felony convictions
• Must be willing to submit to and able to pass a drug-screening test prior to employment if requested and after hiring if determined to be necessary
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be willing to work as host / server assistant on occasion as scheduling needs arise
• Must be able to work lunch shifts to receive full time hours
• Must be able to work mid-week shifts to be considered for weekend shifts

• This is a position to learn to work as a professional restaurant server.
• You will be trained on every position in the dining room as advancement is merited.
• You will learn at your own pace, and your compensation will be based on your skill level and the positions that you have mastered.
• Shifts are scheduled for both Lunch and Dinner. Lunch shift is from 9:30 am to around 2:30 pm. Dinner shift is from 4 pm to between 10 and 11 pm depending on the day of week. A shift will average between 4-6 hours.
• Our compensation rate as a training dining room employee is $7.25 per hour
• Once you have been certified as able to carry a server shift solo you will earn $7.25 per hour plus tips. Tips at the Celtic Fringe are substantial, typically ranging from $50 to $150 per dinner shift, with our best servers exceeding those numbers. Tips for lunch shifts typically range from $30 to $60 depending on the day of the week. Weekend lunch shifts are more generous.
